Di formazione ceramista, diplomata a Faenza nel 2004, la passione per il dettaglio prosegue nello studio del gioiello, come miniatura dalle possibilità infinite.
La mia ricerca personale quotidiana, con l’ascolto dell’intuizione, mi porta verso l’osservazione della natura, intesa anche come connessione con l’Universo, come fonte di espansione e felicità.
L’ispirazione arriva in apparenza improvvisa, ma nasce da impressioni sedimentate. Esploro il significato del gioiello come design che trasformando la materia, possa portare serenità, arte e renderci partecipi della bellezza.
Il gioiello è un elemento che ha la caratteristica particolare di creare un dialogo emozionale con chi lo indossa ed esprimere un po’ della sua verità personale.
Il mio lavoro interamente fatto a mano è il risultato di tecniche antiche come fusione a cera persa e al banchetto con un intenso lavoro di modellazione e micro scultura.
I metalli sono l’argento e il bronzo con pietre naturali scelte una per una, per la loro unicità, bellezza e sentimento che trasmettono, che seleziono da tutto il mondo favorendo piccole imprese familiari.
Uso anche altri materiali come legno, micro stoffe lavorati al mio telaio manuale, ceramica e porcellana, sempre foggiati e decorati da me. Realizzo pezzi unici data la completa artigianalità del mio lavoro.

Da sempre appassionata di gioielli, il mio primo percorso è stato imparare a costruirli, in bottega, a crearli "ad Personam" sempre rispettando i canoni classici; la natura mia fonte di ispirazione, le emozioni che portano a rappresentare un oggetto da custodire ogni giorno addosso,come simbolo di appartennza ma anche come oggetto apotropaico.

Melting Point València

From 27 to 30 April in Valencia, Spain will be held Melting Point València, the 6th International Meeting of Contemporary Jewelry.

Melting Point Valencia is a must-see for contemporary jewellery in Europe.

● The 6th biennial Melting Point Valencia will take place from April 27 to 30, 2023. It has an Official Section and an Off Section that bring together more than 40 exhibitions by artists from different countries and include talks, workshops, performances, meetings with professionals and other activities

April 2023. The Jewellery Department of the Valencia School of Design (EASD Valencia) and the Valencia School of Design Cultural Association organize, together with other collaborating institutions and entities, the 6th edition of Melting Point Valencia, an international meeting of contemporary and designer jewellery that has become an essential appointment for professionals and amateurs. Conceived as an alternative to the trade fair concept, Melting Point Valencia claims its cultural, educational, public and non-profit character.

Melting Point Valencia. International meeting of Contemporary Jewellery will occupy, from April 27 to 30, 2023, such significant spaces in the city of Valencia as the National Museum of Ceramics and Artes Sumtuarias González Martí, the Center del Carme Cultura Contemporània (CCCC), the Center of Handicrafts of the Valencian Community, Los Banys de l'Almirall, the October Center for Contemporary Culture (October CCC) and the Velluters headquarters of the EASD Valencia, as well as galleries and local professionals and artists such as Fabrika12, Taller de Fuencisla Francés , Pepe March Workshop, CLC Arte Gallery or Espai Modotti, among others, always within the urban space of Ciutat Vella. The talks, which will be held on Friday 28 and Saturday 29 April, will be given by Liesbeth den Besten (Holland), Jun Won Jung (South Korea), Pilar Garrigosa and Mar Juan Tortosa (Spain), Wolfgang Lösche (Germany ), Felieke Van der Leest (Norway), Andreas Gut (Germany), Iris Eichenberg (Germany) and Jimena Ríos (Argentina).

#Tarot

Dal 15 Aprile al 27 Maggio 2023 è in programma presso la Galerie LA Joaillerie par Mazlo a Parigi in Francia la mostra di gioielli contemporanei #Tarot a cura di Céline Robin.

#Tarot /Tarocchi: questo il titolo sfida scelto dalla galleria LA joaillerie par Mazlo per la sua prossima mostra collettiva in due sessioni, la cui prima parte si aprirà appunto il 15 aprile, 2023.

Un modo per racchiudere in una formula lapidaria questo consistente fenomeno di appropriazione di questa fonte secolare di immagini e simboli da parte degli artisti e più in generale della cultura popolare, nondimeno oggi attraverso i social network.
In passato, Dali, Niki de Saint Phalle, Brauner, Breton, Ernst, Masson hanno già attinto alla fonte dei Tarocchi per far parlare questo “io”, evocato da Italo Calvino nel suo Castello dei destini incrociati allorchè scrive: "... Ci è sembrato che con questa carta volesse dire ‘io’ e che si stesse preparando a raccontarci la sua storia." Ancora oggi, molti pittori, artisti visivi, designer e architetti seguono questo prestigioso retaggio.

Combinando gioielleria contemporanea e progetto, #Tarot è una mostra interdisciplinare articolata attorno ai Tarocchi appositamente disegnati dall’autore orafo Robert Mazlo, per portare alla luce la geometria nascosta di queste immagini.
La presentazione di questo lavoro grafico, che avrà luogo a settembre, è preceduto dalla presentazione della sua serie di gioielli basata sui 22 arcani maggiori: "Usati tradizionalmente come strumento di predizione del futuro, i Tarocchi hanno avuto origine in Oriente, da dove furono importati dai Crociati durante il Medioevo. Sono stati gli artisti del Rinascimento italiano che per primi ne hanno fissato l'immaginario per come lo conosciamo oggi. Da allora, queste figure enigmatiche hanno colonizzato la nostra immaginazione. Il formato nomade della carta, un medium popolare per eccellenza, ha largamente contribuito alla loro diffusione iconografica che continua a pervadere la produzione artistica contemporanea. “È questo il Grand Imagier che ho voluto omaggiare in questo corpo di 22 "sculture da indossare", liberamente ispirate agli arcani maggiori dei Tarocchi” [R.Mazlo].

Per l'occasione l’artista orafo ha coinvolto oltre 40 artisti internazionali di gioielli contemporanei, invitandoli a interpretare una carta assegnata a sorte. La individuazione degli artisti è stata fatta in accordo con i valori sostenuti dalla galleria LA joaillerie par Mazlo e il Robert Mazlo Endowment Fund for Art and Contemporary Jewellery: ogni partecipante deve essere sia lo spirito che la mano dietro a un’opera unica non riproducibile. Questa selezione eclettica intende onorare i talenti emergenti, gli artisti affermati e i maestri indiscussi, siano essi rappresentativi del genere narrativo o dell’approccio minimalista.

Ana Calbucci production is always linked to who she was - a woman, from South America, with European ancestors, who lives in one of the largest cities of the world, in a country with enormous social and racial inequalities. This is the country of the largest equatorial rainforest in Earth. Forest that is being devastated under our eyes.
So as a Brazilian poet says, she is a true “walking metamorphosis” in this cauldron of complexities that she lives. Sometimes her work is very intimate and very personal, and sometimes it overflows in a social and ecological questioning inherent to this universe that she belongs to.

Artist Ji Young Kim has been steadily exploring the form of kinetic elements through the "Back of the Moon" exhibition name over the past few years. Answering the question of her formative start, she said she paid attention to the use of Korean words as 'full' or 'filling' to instead of ‘wear’ when it describing the act of putting on jewelry.

"I thought this was an important revelation of inner consciousness. Jewelry not only fills what can be seen, but it may also be something important that fills up the void in the heart. I completed the form of the jewelry with a side that is not visible and little pieces that move. By revealing the hidden makes another kind of fulfillment. "

The departure of these narratives is in the form of unpredictable front and back in 2018, indistinguishable front and back in 2019, interior and exterior hidden movements in 2020, the emptiness in 2021, and it is published as a "cup" that fills and expands the story as the 'space' between the lines of extinction and creation in 2022.

My passion for jewelry making begun unexpectedly. It was like all of a sudden, after a life long full of educated words, I finally learned to talk. No boundaries, no misconceptions, just the purity of the concept, articulated meticulously in each object.
Jewellery is like a language to me, a means to very personally articulate a meaning, to unveil a deeper truth and to walk around wearing it, in plain sight. It is like wearing your inside out as truthfully as it gets. My inspiration comes from the hidden inner form of things, hence I try to see that shape that yearns to come forth, that shape that unravels best the narrative of the piece.
I find the ability of these objects to embody warmth, feelings, desires and to adorn so personally the one wearer that chooses them, deeply mesmerizing. It is the symbiotic merge between the jewel and its owner that fascinates me. The individuality of this symbiosis. Its uniqueness.

The contemporary field of jewelry, which is based on the classic field, accords the artisan's extensive freedom with regard to the techniques and materials he uses. In addition to the historical baggage that the jewel carries, the contemporary jewel is designed, among others, to defy and raise questions about the accepted status and beauty markers as well as a way to express a message, an idea, even a protest, thereby expanding a craft into an art form.

For me, the field of contemporary jewelry allows me to touch on issues that concern me in the course of my life, things, and issues that I am interested in responding to. I create with materials that are around me, which are available to me and violate my thoughts; that being said, slowly, in recent years, my heart and hands have fallen in love with Copper and its ability to receive and respond. I work mainly with techniques that combine hammers. In addition, I have specialized in various techniques for creating patinas on metal for the past eight years.
