Jewellery as an Educational Tool

Abstract Essay: This essay aimed to consider contemporary jewellery as a tool of education on different levels. It argues that jewellery could serve not only as 3D object but could have much deeper value for society. For this purpose text provides number of evidences which show a huge educational potential of jewellery, from pieces itself to specialized events. With the main objective in mind, the essay consisted of focal areas: contemporary methods of education, contemporary jewellery, comparative analyses. The traditional visit to contemporary jewellery exhibition is metaphorically compared to one of contemporary method of education – self-learning. The pieces of jewellery are compared with textbooks absorbing multidisciplinary knowledges. Jewellery is being hailed as a possible tool of school education process.
